My carpool Karaoke With James Corden and Adele

My carpool Karaoke With James Corden and Adele

I have a funny story to tell and by sharing it I have to share a video of myself to complete the story. Don't laugh at me (Ok, laugh as hard as you want) because I can't stop laughing at myself.

Not sure what got into me today but I saw a meme, yes I know so many people love memes, NOT. However, I was in a silly mood today and found the meme funny.  The meme was a photo of a guy wearing sunglasses and he had a knit neck scarf around his neck. The meme had a message to tag someone you think would look great in this. Of course, the message was just humor. I decided to tag my son because the neck scarf was pink. I'm almost always fairly conservative on Facebook but today was different. It was one of those days that I could choose to cry or laugh, I chose laughter.

Not long after I posted the meme on my son's page I received a private message from him saying, "Uh do you know what that is?!" My comment back, "a silly pink scarf that looks funny?" My son sent me another message, 'NO, take a better look and read the comments!" So, I looked and looked not sure why he was a bit peeved with me. Suddenly, I had my lightbulb moment-  Holy S*it, someone knitted a penis with a ballsack (sorry if this offends anyone) and his mom just posted a picture of a ballsack on his profile page! Oops!  I removed it but I could not quit laughing. I'm sure if a friend of his posted that my son would have laughed but not coming from his mom.

That wasn't the end of my antics today

I found the live video facebook app! Yay me! I got this bright idea to *try* to make a funny video using James Corden's carpool Karaoke.  I need to preface this small story- I thought by "LIVE," it meant the video would not GO live until I hit the done button to post. I had no idea that as soon as you begin videoing it's live instantly on facebook. I wasn't quite done with my fun and the phone rings. I hear my son's voice on the other end of the phone, "Mom, do you realize you are streaming a video of yourself live on facebook?" Me, "No I'm not."  He went on to say, "Yes you are, what do you think LIVE means?" I told him I thought it meant live recording, not live streaming? At this point, I just said, "Oh well, what the hell... I might as well have fun."  My son said, "Your not going to remove it?" Me, "No, I need a bit of laughter today."

I realized after watching it a few times that this is part of who I am. I'm not afraid to get silly. I don't worry too much about what others think of me. Don't get me wrong, I care when it comes to being a good person but sometimes it's fun to remember the child within. So I will leave you with my video- my other personality. You will hear the phone ring and that would be my son, the video ends there. I wasn't able to finish it.

I hope you are able to laugh like many of us did today. The laughter really was a quick cure for the blues!

Here is a link to my VIDEO if the link above doesn't work.  Yes, your laughter can be at my expense, as I told others, I had fun being a dork today!

I just broke out laughing when I read your comment about going to the mall and breaking out dancing or pretending your flying with your arms over your head Paul \. They think we've lost it, they just never had a chance to really get to know the not so serious side of ourselves until they do grow older and we can 'let our hair down,' so to speak. My daughter and I do a bit of our own version of Night at the Roxbury in the car together when we are feeling silly, and we don't care if others see us. We just laugh harder! Glad you don't hide your fun side!

I would bet your right Deb Helfrich! would it be too much if James Corden came to pick me up and I requested that he bring Adam Levine with him from Maroon 5? Ok, a girl can dream!! ;-) Ah, forget it- I'd probably become a blabbering idiot. Oh wait.. I already am, my video proves that hahaha!

Deb Helfrich, I was in tears when I watched the Chewbacca vid! Her laughter alone, was so contagious!! Oh I could SO do carpool Karaoke with James Corden, he is a hoot! I'd probably sit there knee slapping instead of singing, over knee slapping over MY singing since I can't carry a tune well!

Brian McKenzie, you nailed it with the 'noooooooooo mom part!' I was going to take it down because he was embarrassed but then I thought why... it's all in fun. My daughter wrote on my facebook page, "Mom are you high?" and added a face of dying laughter to it. I don't embarrass her easily, but then again we both get a little kooky together at times.

Hi Lisa. My earlier comment seems to have got lost, so here it is again: "When the blues come a knockin'. Pink scarves start a shockin'!" Thanks for cheering us all up! ☺️
