It"s the bottom of the ninth with two outs and it's all up to you!

It is not an uncommon day dream for a boy to place themselves in the seventh game of the World Series bottom of the ninth. Now this is where you have two options. Option one, your facing the greatest batter of your day up by one with the bases loaded two outs and you have battled to a full count. Time slows as you look to the catcher waiting for the call, it all hinges on this, this pitch; the world holds its breath. The second option is very similar. Down by one runner on first two outs and two strikes, you hold the bat waiting for this pitch the pitch that will make history.
Growing up we all dream of that moment where we impact history a moment in time where everyone will know our name, at that moment we dream of making the big play standing up as a hero but those moments seldom come as we expect. Usually they arrive without the lights and build up they arrive quietly or in a sudden rush. Perhaps it is a car wreck where we arrive first or a down cast friend asking for advice. These moments are the moment that can change everything for you and them.
A ball player studies and practices for each game they play but life just comes at you. Yes you can prepare for life, yes you can study and ensure you are in many ways ready but these moments test not just your preparedness but your character. Can you handle the pressure of the lights and every eye looking at you; can you handle the pressure of daily life and the character it demands if you wish to stand?
Dream big and prepare as best you know how but the difference between standing as the hero and hanging your head usually is not dependent on your ability but is dependent on who you have chosen to be as a person. What character are you developing, are you choosing to be a person of morals or just ethics? It is your life but where have you always dreamed of standing?
Chose your dreams
Blessings
