Is that guy ruining your life, fear no more.

We each in our own lives have come across “That Guy”, the guy that just makes everybody’s life harder. It seems like they have no idea what reality is or how to interact with it. Their plans seem beyond comprehensible or simply ignore the feelings of those around them.

So how do we respond? Well yelling and getting frustrated seem to be the norm. As well as various attempts of getting even or circumventing their plans. But in truth do these actually repair or even help? Not usually. In truth there is usually nothing we can do about “That Guy”.

So instead of countering “That Guy” let me suggest being the best neighbor your can be. Become the guy that you would like to work with or live next to. Go out of your way to help them succeed. Sure their plan still might be poor or even horrible but if you can be the best neighbor you can be perhaps their plan just might succeed.

We can live lives that are constantly battling against something or someone or we can change the only thing we have control of, ourselves. We can change the way we live and the thoughts we have and perhaps in this we can live lives that are not as stressed. “That Guy” will always exist somewhere but we do not have to continually live fearing his approach. Become the world’s greatest neighbor, the neighbor you would love having living next to you or working with you.
