I stand at the door and knock

I stand at the door and knock

In Revelation 3:20 Jesus makes this statement, asking who will answer the door. In our own lives we too come to the same position, we wonder who will answer if we knock. Who will ask us in and share their lives with us. These moments of wonder and often frustration can result in many different emotions and their resultant choices but very few are beneficial. How we handle these moments tell a lot about who we are and what we believe about ourselves and our place in this world.

As we dive head first into the holiday season we will come across many of these moments of “who will open” each one bringing with it, its own emotions. These days are filled with frustrations and opportunities for frustration without adding extra so how we approach these days is important. How you perceive yourself will guide your emotions and reactions, so think rightly.

Jesus is knocking at the door because of one very important reason, He loves you. Jesus is knocking at the door because He wants to spend time with you. Jesus is knocking at the door because you matter in His eyes. So to be very honest as we look at ourselves we can say I am loved and found precious by the creator of the world. I am valuable in the sight of the one who put the stars in the sky and set our sun in orbit. Regardless of what doors may open this season Jesus wants to spend those moments with you.

May this be a very special holiday season.

Blessings
