I can no longer stay silent- Trump is toxic to our Country!

I can no longer stay silent- Trump is toxic to our Country!

I can no longer stay silent- Trump is toxic to our Country!

I used to write blogs about politics. I gave up on it because most people have already made up their minds and you can't change the mindset of anyone who's decided who they would like to see as our next President.

Tonight I changed MY mind and decided to write about Donald Trump. I'm not writing to make enemies with anyone but I can no longer keep my mouth shut.

When Trump first announced he was running for President I thought it was a joke. As time went on and I heard so many crazy statements come out of his mouth, I thought well maybe he's trying to ruin any Republican's chance at becoming President.

TONIGHT

I came to the realization that he actually has a chance at winning the Presidency. I don't want to sound like a wimpy alarmist but I will admit- I'm actually fearful of him becoming our President. I am a moderate and I have never voted straight Democrat or Republican. I vote for the candidate I feel will serve each of us to the best of the abilities.

Donald Trump called our Country stupid today. That's a very nice message to send out to the world. When Donald called our Country stupid, he was sending a message to the entire world that we don't have our act together. He was sending a message to the world that we are vulnerable. I'm sorry, No- I'm not sorry- but we are far from a stupid Country.

Donald Trump reminds me of the bully in a school yard. His supporters remind me of kids that are so bitter and end up following Trump, the bully because he speaks for all of them. Hate feeds hate and Donald knows how to play the game well. Donald reminds me of an actor that ended up getting no further than becoming a circus clown.

My Apologies

Trump has called for a complete halt of Muslims entering the USA. Trump has succeeded at re-igniting an old flame; the same flame I saw burning after 9/11. People became Xenophobic towards Muslims and demanded that Muslims speak out. Many Muslims did but their efforts were in vain because the news didn't pick up on all the positive stories about Imams holding meetings not just for Muslims but for everyone. Muslims helped our government after 9/11, we had Muslim firefighters that risked their lives to save others following the attack on the Twin Towers. Muslims died in the Twin Towers with their friends and/or co-workers. To the 1.6 billion Muslims on planet earth (which we ALL inhabit), I am sorry you've been treated like a terrorist because of a group of Muslims that are terrorists. I apologize to Muslims on behalf of people who have never taken the time to get to know many of you. It's easier to hate the boogie man. It's much harder to hate a group of people if you take the time to get to know them.

We are facing many serious issues in the US and worldwide. I want a President who is not a reactionary. I want a President who understands which issues trump others (no pun intended). I want a President who leads with respect, not a dictator. Trump has always marched to the beat of his own drum and I'd like others to ask themselves who find Trump attractive as a candidate if they feel he will serve your needs or his ego?

Some of Trumps most outrageous comments- you be the decider.

3. “Ariana Huffington is unattractive, both inside and out. I fully understand why her former husband left her for a man – he made a good decision.”

Trump always has charming things to say about successful, prominent women - but he stooped particularly low with this comment about Huffington Post founder.

4. “You know, it really doesn’t matter what the media write as long as you’ve got a young, and beautiful, piece of ass.”

Trump proves (again) that he views a woman's looks over anything else...

6. “I will build a great wall – and nobody builds walls better than me, believe me – and I’ll build them very inexpensively. I will build a great, great wall on our southern border, and I will make Mexico pay for that wall. Mark my words.”

[Oh for goodness sake.]

10. “All of the women on The Apprentice flirted with me – consciously or unconsciously. That’s to be expected.”
Because of course, no woman can resist Trump's charms. [Throws up on keyboard] (This comment caused me to upchuck on my keyboard too) and then I laughed hysterically. *Can we say Narcissist?*

I don't understand why any woman would vote for this creep? If Trump wasn't rich he would have never made it to the big boys podium during debates. Think about it, his money along with his crazy talk has been like a sick reality show. The media honed in on Trump when they realized he wasn't just a spectacle but becoming revered among people who are so bitter and feel Trump speaks for them. Trump became popular because of the Media. Trump has many Zealots who praise him. He's become America's most popular reality show and people who are addicted to their TV screens are lining the Media's pockets.

Trump has proven time and time again that it's his way or no-one's way. Do you really want a President that is not capable of compromise? Do you really feel a person who *acts* tough with their words is going to have an impact on the rest of the world? I don't! I feel he's fueling more anger and he's not even our President. How can we expect Trump to work with Congress (who by the way, has a proven record of not being willing to work with our current President- like him or not) if he's so easy to anger and has grandiose ideas that everyone loves him. That's why Trump feels Congress will work with him- because he has such high regard for himself. Again, look up the term Narcissist.

I'd like to end this with something that really spoke to the truth about Trump

Former Republican Sen. Bob Bennett, who died earlier this month, spent his last days apologizing to Muslims for Donald Trump.

"Are there any Muslims in the hospital?" he asked his wife Joyce and son Jim, both of whom relayed this story to The Daily Beast's Tim Mak. "I'd love to go up to every single one of them to thank them for being in this country, and apologize to them on behalf of the Republican Party for Donald Trump.

One last comment: At this point I'm not happy with either candidate we have to choose from. I will admit I've never been a big fan of Hillary Clinton. I don't even feel compelled to vote in this election. However, I will vote because I do NOT want to see our Country with a President Trump. And, I will come around to supporting Hillary BECAUSE I do not want to see Trump win.

Please try to keep an open mind. One way to keep an open mind is to turn off the 24/7 news shows. They tend to brainwash people and feed into your deepest fears and anger. I promise , if you are able to back away from your TV set and spend some time researching candidates without the news infiltrating your brains, well... you might come to a different conclusion.

So, there you go... that's my 2 cents!

Hi Paul Walters, coming from someone who lives in the US I have to wonder the same? Money, backroom deals, and more play a big role in a party choosing 'their candidate' in the US. The Democratic Party chose Hillary before the people did. Once a person wins a State in the US, they then win a number of delegates from their party. We also have what are called Super Delegates and their loyalty is to one Candidate or another of a party but many times that can change during the primaries or right before the Convention- they switch sides to give the Candidate that is winning the extra number of delegates they need to become the Primary winner. It's our great electoral system which I find has many flaws. Honestly, even though people state it works, I feel that voting is a bit skewed. I have always seen President Obama as a great leader. The Republican Party (Tea Party and Establishment Republican's) worked hard since Obama took office in 2008 to muddy his name and vote down many great initiatives he tried to get passed through Congress. They also added a lot of negative laws to the Affordable Care Act and many people don't realize that the ACA could have taken off much smoother if some of what the Republican's added weren't part of the ACA. I have voted for Republican's in the past running for President, and I voted for Obama in 08 and 2012, because I feel he's been very good for our country. I can honestly say, I have never seen a President more disrespected than him and his family. The media plays a large role as well. Our media has become more like dirty gossip news shows versus fact based news. I'm glad others see his worth and yes, one day- history will be on Obama's side. I DO NOT want a President Trump either. please America... think. Ah, feels good to say it! Thanks for your comment Paul.

As someone who lives outside of the USA I can only look upon and wonder as to how it ever came to this. 300 million people and the two candidates who are vying for the right to run this might country everybody seems to hate!! Obama ( from afar) is a leader that seems wonderful and I am sure once his term is over, only then will we realise what he achieved in 8 years! In Indonesia Obama has an almost God like status and in my opinion that is what he should have in America. Oh please, please America do not give us Trump, we couldn't cope !!! There....I said it!!!!

Catalina Gálvez Urrutia, I hope you are right about the American People. I've lost a lot of faith in some but I want to still hold on to the hope that most people are smart enough to see beyond his nonsense. He sure does not represent positivity.

Catalina Gálvez Urrutia my brain is scattered today. I left out one more comment I wanted to add to my last one. The way he speaks of Mexicans and Muslims is deplorable. I can only speak for myself and the many people I know, but we view everyone equally. We are all humans inhabiting this planet and I do not like to see people become divisive about other races, it's wrong on every level.

Álvaro Beltrán, I'm totally bewildered too. I can't understand how he became the Republican Party's Candidate. Thanks for your comment!

Catalina Gálvez Urrutia continued... (I hit enter before I was done). He's an embarrassment to the US but I guess not everyone feels that way.

Hi Catalina Gálvez Urrutia, I have never respected Trump. He disgusts me too. He's not a man who should be given free reign at a Podium let alone become our Presidential candidate for the Republican party, but he has because for some reason that I can't comprehend he has a large following.

Brian McKenzie, "Seek and you'll shall find," is a true statement but it doesn't mean that which we seek is factual. Ive never seen or read of actual facts to back up the claim that there were no planes. My cousin worked at the Pentagon during 9/11 and i heard factual stories of that tragic day. I have never heard Obama say hes ashamed of America. Id be happy to see quoted text showing he has made that statement. Thanks for reading and contributing
