How Strong are you Roots?

Someone’s Dream is like a strong tree whose beauty is derived from the continuous renewal of its leaves, but whose strength comes from the old trunk, with solid roots in the ground.

There are two type of roots, a taproot and a fibrous. While building your own business, you first begin like a fibrous root. A fibrous root system has no single large taproot because the embryonic root dies back when the plant is still young. The roots grow downward and outward from the stem, branching repeatedly to form a mass of fine roots. It start starts shallow and it is in danger of being scorched by the heat of the earth unless the the root (Dream) has water nearby (books, audios, blogs, a mentor).

As your business grows from your dream into a psychical form, your root (Dream) is also changing.  Your business's root is now transforming from a fibrous root into a taproot. Generally, plants with a taproot system are deep-rooted in comparison with those having fibrous type. The taproot system enables the plant to anchor better to the soil and obtain water from deeper sources.  This also allows longer ability to for the plant to sustain itself in times of drought.  The bigger and stronger your business gets the stronger the taproot gets.

Storms, or conflicts in life, make trees take deeper roots. As these conflicts comes we need to have strong roots, or our Business will die and wither away.  This happens to so many of us. 

Yet sometimes it is not the environment that kills the business, but us. Here is an example. A plant's root system needs to be completed grown to hold the weight of the grown plant or it will fall over. So someone's business may just be about to take off, yet they just emotional quit. They wanted to try something else, are now just a seed again. They didn't  realize that they had a strong root system, and were to impatient to wait for the fruit to grow and missed out on the harvest.

“He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.”- (Psalm 1:3)  Be wise and plant your dream by streams of water.

I will leave you with this. Whatever your dream or goal is, have an everyday water source of motivation.  These are your books, blogs, and audios.  No Matter how deep your root is, without "water" the tree will still die.
