Good morning

Good morning

Good morning

Good morning it’s 28 degrees the sun is not up, and the birds are chirping.  Okay, not all the birds but some.  From my office most of the houses are still dark, the children are not quite up getting ready for school.  Most likely any moment.

The day is just about ready to start, the rush and bustle of the day.  Each day, each morning there is that calm just before the start, that moment of held breath.  Except for a couple of birds.  Perhaps they were awoken by the few homes that do have a light on.  Regardless, back to calm.  That moment of peace, quietness, and relative stillness that rests across the neighborhood.

It won’t be long now, the lights will begin to turn on, the buses will arrive, the cars will drive off. The day will begin.  Any moment now.  But before that moment there is peace.  The babies are still asleep. Though I am not sure there is still a baby in the neighborhood.  The youngest I have seen lately is about two.  But again, with it being cold the mother or mothers might be keeping them indoors.

Up before the sun, rising before the break of day, off before light crests over the mountain.  It is almost time for the day to start.  Right now, is a very precious moment.  That moment just before.  Soon enough it will end.  Soon enough it will be over, but for now, wow.

May your day be filled with moments of wonder and peace.

Blessings.

I also love early mornings, Greg, and the stillness before dawn, when there’s just enough cloud cover to let those first rays of sunshine play hide and seek before eventually bursting skyward to herald a new day. The only problem, Greg, is that  I also like the occasional late night of contemplation or screen time and really do enjoy the comforts of my bed. So when it comes to horizon gazing, dusk tends to win over dawn most days. But hey, which is best, yin or yang? 🤗
