Fog

Fog

Fog

Heavy fog covers the ground obscuring the trees.  I came on quickly settling silently.  Quiet, quick, and relentless this fog, entering my world without request. Obscuring my view, halting my vision, stopping my sight.  Fog.  To what do I owe this blight?

While it yields to my hand, parting at my slightest whim, it returns as if it never left.  My sight does not grow at the waving of my hand. The light just past my view offering a dim warmth does not grow brighter.  Why is this cascading frustration entering my reality?

Stand I will and fight this fog.  But while I thrash and strain, I gain nothing, the fog simply parts and returns as if I have simply been standing silent, steady, unmoving.  I could shout but do my words carry in this muck, this pea soup? Does sound carry in this denseness?

The more I search, the more I move the only thing I see is fog.  This fog.  Just how far does it go?  Is there an out, an edge, freedom?  Or is there just a fog that simply remains?  Searching now, hoping for relief all I see is deeper fog, denser clouds of obscuring.

The light should come, should penetrate this fog, perhaps even banish it.  The light should come.  Perhaps it is just over the horizon and will arrive in mere moments. I have but to wait, to be patient. The light will come.

As I wait, is there someone to wait with me?

Blessings

Hello 😇

The sun comes up every day but home many people see the Light?

Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” - John 8

The Light did come.

.. but most people were not interested .. their attention was elsewhere.

"He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him.

Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God." - John 1

This is the verdict:

Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light .. (John 3)

“Earth is crammed with heaven & every common bush is afire with God.

But only those who see .. stop to take off their shoes;

the rest sit around and pluck blackberries" (or are otherwise occupied)

-Elizabeth Barrett-Browning

This fog is blanketing the world & we should all be greatly “troubled”

.. the fog that troubles me the most is the one that's invisible but still easy to feel, clouding people's judgment and perception.

This fog is blanketing the world

“Cheers” times two - back to you" 😇

The fog created by moisture and temperature variation will inevitably clear, given time, but if our fog is metaphorical then clarity may never come, unless we either change course or rise above it. Clarity comes not just with patience but with purpose and application.

It gets quite foggy here too in the winter and it's a very surreal and gloomy scene. However, the fog that troubles me the most is the one that's invisible but still easy to feel, clouding people's judgment and perception. Cheers

Tried fight the fog Greg, when I've tried to grab it I have always missed.

Scientists have looked at the Stranger aspects of fog, but it has them mystified.

The sign said Fog Ahead, it was misty so I couldn't see it.

The traffic alerts said the motorway had fog patches on it. Obviously trying to give up fog
