FIRST FRIDAY FUNDAY OF 2018

Well, we made it! It's now 2018, and as one of the first Baby Boomers, the number of this year just made me shake my head. It's so hard to believe -- as was the first of the 2000s, right?

What has kept me going is enjoying life where and when I can. I first started blogging about three years ago, and I quickly decided that I had to have something fun to show my readers (not that I expected any readers -- no, really, I didn't) because American grammar and business writing are simply not fascinating topics for most.

No surprise that the Friday Fundays and the occasional Silly Saturdays have become favorites. Who doesn't love fun stuff, especially at the end of a week?

I'm posting this one today, because the east coast of the U.S. is being hit hard with a fierce storm and I live up in Massachusetts, on the coast. Yeah. We expect 60-70 mph (96-121 kph) winds and maybe 12-18" (30-45 cm) of snow. Not as much as some of the rest of the country has experienced, but still significant, especially if we lose power.

So, let's laugh in the face of danger, OK?

Now that's an original way to show men's and women's rooms, right?

Thanks for the inspiring mirth Susan 🐝 Rooks, the Grammar Goddess I happened upon your post as I awoke to another perfect (weather) day in Africa. Of course we have our other liabilities to balance the equation! Nevertheless, a chuckle a day keeps the doctor away, so not too much mirth please, it's bad for business!

Oh how I hate the cold, Susan. Wish I could send you over some of our sweltering summer tropical Queensland heat, but there are limits to Australia Post鈥檚 parcel service, weather you pay in advance or weather you don鈥檛. 馃ぃ

But it feels like that sometimes, right, Franci🐝Eugenia Hoffman, beBee Brand Ambassador? I love finding these things; I honor those who create them (despite the terrible grammar and punctuation). They're funny!

Love that, Ken Boddie! LOVE IT! And I needed the laugh; the east coast of the US has been fighting a huge winter storm -- luckily my little area fared pretty well, but up and down there are flooded towns and cities (not to the rooftops, but still). And we're in for record cold the next couple of days. Joy. Rapture. Said no one ever. So your post really hit the spot!!!

You too Susan 🐝 Rooks, the Grammar Goddess -- hunker down and drink a Hot Toddy. I am going to get one, and it's before lunchtime over here. It's a chilly 65 degrees F / 18 Deg C over here. . .

Oh, no -- sorry to learn that, Wayne Yoshida! For me, it's 1:30 Thursday afternoon, and thankfully we still have power. We'll see how the afternoon goes. Take care of yourself, OK?

Thanks for sharing the fun today, Wayne Yoshida! Much appreciated.

Thanks Susan 🐝 Rooks, the Grammar Goddess. It's Friday Eve and I may be coming down with the flu. I like the restroom signage.
Well, Paul \, you hit two of mine as well. Thanks for always commenting on my posts!

You always support my efforts, John Rylance, and I surely do appreciate that. Thanks!

My favourite is the Hells Angels. Why? The man who fits our carpets retired recently because of arthritic knees, but still "hurtles around" on his Harley Davidson. He actually has two bikes.
