Finding peace in a sea of molasses

Finding peace in a sea of molasses

819ba276.jpg

Each morning we open our eyes and we have the chance, indeed the opportunity to have a great day. And that great day is dependent on what we focus on. We can focus on the various problems we face and the myriad of painful solutions that come to mind or we can deal with the problems and keep our focus on the good that surrounds us.

Where we place or focus impacts our day. We all know that it is easy to get swallowed up in the negative. We have all been in conversations that have become more and more negative the longer the conversation continued. I expect this is due tho the fact that negative thoughts and focus tend to drag us down to the depth of the quagmire. That focus steals hope and peace. And as you know very rarely if ever does it offers solutions.

When we keep our focus on the good on looking for solutions not just complaining about the problems we tend not only to have much better days but we might also find a solution to the situation we find ourselves in. Looking at what is going right provides a positive outlook and offers peace to our day. This attitude not only is vastly more healthy but clearly more productive.

A negative conversation drags our attitudes and creativity down, limiting solutions and dampening enthusiasm. Where as conversation which takes into account what is going on right opens our thoughts to options that offers solutions for the future and the problems we currently must deal with.

So next time you are thinking and your thoughts tend toward the negative stop and instead honestly look at the situation with eyes for that which is going well. Build off of the positive to find solutions instead of letting the weight of the negative press you into the sea of molasses. Such a sea is terribly hard to escape.

Blessings

Hi Ken Boddie seeing opportunities as opportunities is a great way to keep the blood pressure low. But molasses is amazing in cookies. My local beekeeper is only across the street and knows me by name. I still prefer molasses over honey in cookies but not in peanut butter. Have an amazing day!!

There are no problems in this world, Greg, only opportunities, so, perhaps you now have an opportunity to release that housebound jar of molasses, give it away for animal feed, and invest in some honey from your friendly local beekeeper. 🤗
