Dutch scientists train bees to detect the presence of the coronavirus
Dutch scientists have started training bees to detect the presence of Covid-19 in samples.

Wageningen University has used the famous "Pavlov's dog" method to train the bees.

They were given sugar water as a reward to detect the virus in the samples.

When a bee failed to notice the virus, it did not receive the water.

The scientists confirmed that the bees can detect the virus within seconds, considerably reducing the waiting time for conventional methods.
