Coming out the other side

Coming out the other side

8c853388.jpg

Every business, every life, every marriage has times that are unprecedented. These unprecedented moments can be short or rather long in duration. How we come out the other side is what matters. We have the choice to learn from the adventure or we can bury our heads and hope it all goes away. And as we all know that never happens. Which leaves us with learn.

I have been preaching for more than a few years now but this preaching at a blue dot on a screen is just weird. There is no interaction with the congregation, no ability to read a face letting me know to explain my point more clearly or that I simply have lost their attention. So I can either learn or simply pray that everything will go back to the way it was.

We each know that certain things will return to the way they were, but we also know that not everything can or will return. Some changes will and indeed must be made. We need to determine how to come out the other side.

Now if you have been alive long enough you recognize this as just one more life adventure that must be live out and learned from. But that does not always make it easier. Taking the time to evaluate our circumstances now and actually look at what we want in the future will help us determine how to get there. So how do you want to come out the other side?

What changes might you want in place to make the next unprecedented event transition easier? What are you learning from this event that you can use to improve your business, life, or marriage? Each of us will come out the other side the only question is how. Will this simply be a bump in the road or will it be a major transformation? There is nothing wrong with either answer.

Not very many people look forward to change, those who do are best equipped to make the best use of events like these in their lives, for the rest of us, we must learn to adjust and adapt to the new situation in which we find ourselves.

If we look at this even like a wave it is easier to understand this basic principle. We will either be cast about by it's power, tossed and turned by each current or we can choose to surf. The same wave applies to both events. One we simply decide to take advantage of the power and opportunity. Which are you doing today?

Remember this is your best training for the next wave. Use it well and come out he other side ready to move forward.

Blessings.

Greg Rolfe I will share with you that this bee often does not color in the lines ... stay on topic;~) ... the result is at times being shunned: for being Whose I am ... for sharing Truth ... in a recent conversation it was deemed "futile" to discuss matters of "Truth" sharing part of my reply "I hope to NEVER “impose” ... “my truth” on anyone … that would be WRONG Truth is truth … whether it is accepted or believed God is the Source & Standard of “Truth” (never a finite human being) This is sacred: Each person chooses the direction of their life: values … beliefs … “truths” … and their destiny is determined by their choices To me: “Truth” is priceless … searching for truth is rightly ordered … eternity awaits us all. Whatever or wherever that is … I want to know with all my being. As I mentioned: before: In the search for truth, knowledge, wisdom and revelation (which can be in the physical: confirmed by science or in the spiritual: confirmed by faith) ... inquiring minds should want to know … and are well-served by a curiosity that engages … reasons … earnestly seeks to know An attitude of “futility” produces defeat … closes minds IF a person has discovered truths … that might enrich life (their & others) … this sharing is “rightly-ordered” Required: A “right” heart-attitude – AND the understanding that sharing does NOT necessarily produce agreement Such sharing merits respect & consideration … and who knows … discovery may flow out of the process … where follows: growth personally or spiritually (I have experienced this) SHALLOW … even cowardly is the person who would hide the priceless treasure of “Truth” https://www.bebee.com/producer/@ali-anani/corona-can-make-us-stronger

Fay Vietmeier Thank you for your comment! As always you remark on what was actually said not what you wanted it to say. I appreciate it. "Stay in the wake"!

Greg Rolfe Attitude and response is everything "Circumstances do not make a man they reveal him" "What are you learning from this event" that is a great question and challenge The thought also occurs to me (as a believer) to ask: "Lord, what are You trying to teach me in this challenge?" "Taking the time to evaluate our circumstances" ... this requires awareness ... intent ... willingness I heard a great message by Dr David Jeremiah recently The takeaway was "find out what God is doing ... and get in on it" He used the illustration of water skiing which ties in with your waves ... the best place to ski on rocky waves is in the wake ... so when you "find out what God is up to ... stay in the wake ;~)
