Clowns just might be the root cause of Climate Change, Global Warming and a litany of other environmental issues and challenges.

I read a short article on “Fukushima Radiation Has Contaminated The Entire Pacific Ocean (And It’s Going To Get Worse).” You know that manmade facility in Japan that was influenced by two natural events called an earthquake and tsunami. The full story can be found at: http://peakoil.com/enviroment/fukushima-radiation-has-contaminated-the-entire-pacific-ocean-and-its-going-to-get-worse I am not going to interpret, champion or regurgitate any of the information in that piece, rather will leave it up to you all do decide whether or not you want to gain some insight into what is or isn't occurring.

What I will do is share the picture related to the story. It is attributed to the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and serves as a graphic depiction of what may or just may not be going on in the Pacific realm as a result of an event that occurred in 2011.

So here is my point. Similar to climate change, global warming, food, energy, water, population etc…I find it interesting that none of this seemingly makes its way into the discussion space. Scant or limited discussion on it in the news, little to no discussion on it in the political scenes at any national or international level, and marginal discussion or outcry in the scientific domains.

This specific issue gets to a fundamental and dangerous dilemma of cause and effect. It gets to a fundamental issue about the absurdity of polarized views on any of the subjects. Whether manmade or natural our approach to the current state and myriad of issues and challenges we face and our response to any and all of it is, well, truly absurd.  It gets to a point about humanity and our interaction with our earths ecosystem and the fact that we just may have found the culprit to it all.   

Mankind has, in some respects, turned clown like and since they aren't real, lets blame a clown.

Unfortunately we, yes human kind in general, have donned our clown suits and continue to behave and interact with our Earth like theatrical sycophants and court jesters. As clowns we seem content in thinking that our actions don’t matter and how we can, in behaving theatrically, seek to flatter or gain approval whilst ignoring reality despite the ramifications.

We seem to be content in putting on our face paint and perpetually masking a reality unfolding before us because our actions really don’t matter.  Earth and nature did this, not mankind.

In putting on our clown faces I wonder if it somehow makes us feel better about contributing to or passively watching us destroy our earth, its environment and our ability to exist.

So for all of the clowns who continue to perpetuate the mindless and mind-numbing eloquence on manmade or natural. All I can say is--Well done.
