IT'S TIME TO WAKE UP

"Take the most painful things that have ever happened in your life and turn them into your greatest teachers."
Dr. Wayne Dyer

This is one of those subjects I tend to avoid like the plague for this simple fact...I channel the energy I am writing about for the sake of accuracy. Quite frankly, anger hurts like hell. Digging up all of those "old bones" has my body aching from my fingers to my toes.

Where it hurts isn't so important as to WHY it hurts. When we leave anger unchecked or unexpressed, we tuck it away somewhere in our bodies for safe keeping. We cannot move past it without addressing it, so any chronic aches and pains you may be experiencing are your bodies persistent attempts to capture your attention.

There is very good reason why a huge percentage of the population experiences chronic headaches, stomach issues and low back pain. Think for a moment about how your body "feels" in a situation that is upsetting to you. It does not matter how strong you think you are. Everyone has something they find disturbing. Besides, if we were all perfect beings we would have no stories to tell;-)

When the signs are angry, you
should...

Give them space: Pisces, Cancer, Aquarius,
Libra, Sagittarius, Gemini

Run as fast as you can: Aries, Scorpio,
virgo, Taurus, Capricorn, Leo

Uh Oh! I'm a Virgo...Better head for the hills dear, menopause is marching on! All you ladies of a certain age know exactly what I mean. All those petty little squabbles that might have been amusing in high school have manifested into a raging war on the senses. Those silly "little things" are suddenly becoming the exhumed corpses of discarded emotion come back to life to choke the living daylights out of whoever ticks them off! A real life Dawn of the Dead;-)

SNAPPED.Okay...Yup, this one's for real. I don't even want to admit to you how many attempts I made to get this particular image sized correctly, spaced and positioned where I wanted it on the page. Usually an easy task for me here, but when I'm annoyed like I am now, it makes simple tasks frustrating. That goes for our interactions with people as well. If there is some unfinished business niggling at us from within, we are apt to blow a fuse over petty annoyances.

Unfortunately, society has taught us to bury our emotions. They are viewed as an inconvenient nuisance that gets in the way of our critical thinking when in fact, managing emotions appropriately is key not only to our critical thinking but our overall health as well. In terms of anger, women are especially encouraged to keep that under wraps. Lest we be considered hormonal bitches. So what do we do when something or someone awakens these little demons from their eternal unrest?

Br)

Ahhh...No. Not ever a good idea! That just guarantees the cycle continues into the next generation. We need to un-learn the old model of thinking and re-parent ourselves to new way of thinking so we can function more effectively in our personal and professional lives. Once that old sediment has been churned up from the bottom of the well, we need to find healthy ways to skim it off the top before it sinks back down again waiting for another opportunity to rear its ugly head.

Okay, so here's a thought. What do we do when some careless corporation pollutes our beautiful ocean with some sludgy oil spill? Sometimes they try to skim it off the top...and sometimes they set it on fire and burn it off! Much more effective I might add;-) So how do we integrate that idea into our own psyches to cremate those old remains once and for all? Glad you asked....

-Meet Anger Buddies;-)

12bbae24.jpg Yep...This little guy...or better yet, a group of them, could be your best friend in the ventilation department. Group energy is an especially powerful conduit for venting pent up frustrations as there is strength in numbers.

I have been working with my friend Deb Helfrich 🐝 in developing playful ways of releasing the stagnant energies that have solidified within our bodies and kept us from moving beyond our PAST.

If you can't get beyond your past, You will never get out of high school! Emotionally speaking that is;-)

So what is it we can offer you? An exercise in exorcism! A powerful and playful way to emotional freedom. We will teach you how to play with fire and NOT get burned!

Curious? Excellent! We are your soul sisters just waiting patiently to play with you. If you think you might want to participate but remain anonymous, that's okay too! Whatever you choose.

We hope you will join us for an anger playdate as we provide a fun and simple solution for creating emotional freedom;-) See link for scheduling details:

Anger Buddies:

A series of group conversations with Cyndi Wilkins & Deb Helfrich https://www.insightsoccur.com/anger-buddies

"Learn how to make fertilizer when life keeps shoveling crap at you" (I would have said shit, but Deb is much more polite)

No doubt about it. We don't have any clue about how to express anger effectively. Join us for a series of "playdates" based on allowing us to express anger. Learn by participating in how to really let anger flow through us, so that we each feel empowered to calmly voice and release exactly what we feel, what we want, and how we are willing to negotiate. We truly can PLAY WITH FIRE and not get burned;-)

The most important part is to always end with humor. Laughter. Feeling light and ready to move forward.

Got that right Claire L 🐝 Cardwell...It's like drinking poison and hoping somebody else will die...Usually, that somebody else is the person or situation that has ignited the fuse...and sometimes it's a slow burn completely unrelated to the current circumstances...Dealing with angry moments has been a lifelong struggle of mine...so rest assured I'm not going to preach to anyone about how to handle it appropriately...That one is still my Achilles Heel;-) The best I can do for now is be an "Anger Buddy." My motto is "WTF???" LOL;-)

I would love to run the hills with you ...Even move a few mountains! But kick boxing can work too...whatever moves you;-) Movement is a key component of the "integration" process...Without it, we just continue treading water and that gets exhausting...

Anger expressed appropriately really can create great works of art Kenneth Mumford!...The focus here is to clean out those musty old closets in our psyches and make way for a new you to emerge...Playing with fire can be fun if you do it safely...and preferably with a friend who has your back;-)

There is so much to be learned from each other here Deb 🐝 Helfrich speaks of in her post...https://www.bebee.com/producer/@emilia-ludovino/mirror-neurons-and-empathy.... Also working with Deb🐝 Lange's book, "Trust Your Senses" has been a great facilitator to exhume these buried bodies and bring them back to life to be restored;-)

Totally okay to be angry Pascal Derrien...In fact, expressing it effectively is essential to our health and safety....Anger ignites that creative fire within and really gets the juices flowin'...I know for me it can really serve as that kick ass motivator to get the things done that I may have been procrastinating on...Unlike fear, that causes me to react and retreat...I agree with what Max was saying about how we use anger as a shield against pain and fear...In it's most intense form...it is love...misunderstood. Think..."Beauty and The Beast."

I can relate to what you are saying here Brian McKenzie...Shoot before you get shot. I was never one to run from a good fight...Problem is, I never learned HOW to have a GOOD fight...There's a difference...One is active and one id RE-active...That's the shift we are attempting to make here... In a fun way;-)

..." Step into and explain it to yourself while in that state and then spiral out backward looking in at yourself and think of it as someone explaining it to you and then act accordingly." That is essentially what the intention of these exercises (or exorcism) is Max...Except we are reflecting back on what has already occurred in an effort to "clear" that space in our psyche to create a blank canvas for each new brush stroke. It is quite like unraveling the past to create a new future;-) We playfully take it a step beyond the conversation;-)

it s OK to be angry I guess some people call it resistance but I am more wary when it is fuelled by toxicity
