Almost The End Of Another Year

I found out today the end of the semester is next week. The school library closes next Friday and doesn’t open again until January 9th. Being able to use the school computers all day has gotten me used to taking them for granted. I can’t use them for about a month between semesters because the college is closed to students. Only people who work on campus will be here.

I guess I can go to a couple of libraries around town and use their computers for an hour at a time so I’m not like someone standing outside a store with a sign in a window that says it’s CLOSED. Maybe it will be a good thing to go offline for most of the day.

It seems like I go to the college to get out of the house. Then I take these online courses to stay busy and sit a computer screen at school instead of a television at home. I’ve been trying to improve my writing, but I’ve traded a television screen for a computer screen! That’s probably not much better.

Since it’s almost Christmas I’ll probably visit my relatives in town. It’s also time for me to go to church again so I don’t get Bible-Thumped by my mom. That won’t be so bad since it’s only twice a year for me.

Whatever you believe, I think you should get out and visit family and friends during the holidays. If you want to go to a church, that’s up to you.
