Almost Famous?
It's been a while since I wrote anything in my blog. Between working on my portfolio and visiting my kids, It's been busy for me. They're all grown. My oldest son is 30 and my other kids are in their 20's. It seems strange to call them kids. I'm just glad they're making lives for themselves. I think that's the best you can hope for.
A pipe in the building I'm staying in broke and the place flooded and it was closed for a couple days. I stayed in a mission. A guy recognized me from when I used to do construction labor. He kept asking me if I was Italian. That was interesting. I finally got tired of him and told him my family are wet-backs and natives and my father is a redneck just to shut him up.
I don't think he expected an answer like that because he took out a bottle of whiskey and took a drink, then he stopped talking for a while.
The building still needs some work, but it's open again. I'm glad! I've been coming to Seattle as a starting point to go fishing in Alaska since the late 80's and I never know what's going to happen when I come here.
I was walking to the light rail station to catch the train into town and saw a bald eagle on one of the building rooftops. There were crows harassing it. Someone told me crows try to mob birds of prey so they don’t get hunted later. It’s good to see eagles making a comeback, even if they aren’t always welcome.
Not much else interesting has happened. It’s mostly the same old stuff.
Was reading an article on ghost writers in my email. It seems like I've already done a lot of what it takes to get started just trying to stay busy starting a blog. In the article it says there's a lot of work out there if you don't mind writing for someone else and being a "ghost".
The article was interesting, at least to me. Maybe I can network to get started. I could get famous, or maybe almost famous.
