I saw this pinned up on my Pinecrest page. I thought it was fitting for a blog post around Christmas. It's also probably why I don't pray that much.

I was talking to a lady I know at the college about Christmas break. She works at the college and this is the last week for students until January 9th. The staff will only get about a week off I think. She says she doesn’t mind. The bills won’t pile up.

She asked me what I would be doing. My Cousin Lorena always has a lot of food over the holidays. I don’t know if I’ll go there or cook my own turkey again. The leftovers are always good to have.

Since I’m on a low budget I’ll probably get my god-daughter’s and cousin’s kids some Christmas candy. It’s not much but at least they’ll all get something from me.

I should probably start looking for a church to go to so my mom will be happy. I like to be able to honestly tell my mom I went to church for Christmas and Easter -so she doesn’t Bible Thump on me. Got to love mom!

I was internet surfing to find something interesting to write about. A lady named Jessica Seamaan posted a poem on the Medium platform, Will You Still Love Me?  At the end it says it doesn’t matter as long as she loves herself. I thought that was a good message.

Whatever you do or where ever you’re at, if you have a nice or slightly dysfunctional family, remember it doesn’t matter. You decide what kind of holiday you’re going to have.
