Oysters on the Bluff is an annual community celebration and fundraising event for Chatham Savannah Citizen Advocacy, a local nonprofit that recruits voluntary citizen advocates on behalf of people with developmental disabilities in Chatham County. The event attracted 450 Savannahians from all walks of life in January 2016 for second year. the event sold out in advance ticket sales. We project a similar attendance rate in 2017. The event was shared widely on Facebook in the Coastal Empire - 1,400 people were interested in the event, 687 said they attended, and the event page was shared 1,800 times according to Facebook stats. The event was covered by television and print media and hundreds of pictures of the event were shared on social media.
