5 Ways AI May Be Changing Your Company Processes in 2023

fmxxF.jpg

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is gaining momentum despite the raising concerns of some of the pioneers in the field. Whatever the initiatives calling for a careful approach to unpredictable new technologies may bring in the future, the fact is that AI is already changing organizational planning and execution.

Note that the “change” doesn’t have either a positive or negative connotation. The key takeaway is, as always, to use new tech to benefit business processes and cut down on the detrimental aspects (which AI has many already).

Let’s try to make heads and tails and see how AI may be used to benefit businesses worldwide.

Where Can AI Be Implemented?

Keeping in mind that the list is not definite, AI is presently changing multiple business processes in the following fields:

  •       Automated responders
  •       Process automation
  •        Virtual assistants
  •      Conversational chatbots
  •       Social media monitoring
  •       Dynamic price optimization
  •    Security surveillance

Of late, the use of AI in the context of SEO has been much debated. Implementing AI in SEO is still discovering its true potential, but it’s definitely advisable to keep an eye on the developments as trends are changing at a rapid pace.

Let’s take a look at some notable uses of artificial intelligence in workplace processes.

AI Automation

The first association for AI in the workplace is automation, and no wonder!

AI automation can reduce time-consuming manual tasks that can be effectively streamlined. Routine office tasks can benefit greatly from AI.

Clocking in and out and keeping tabs on project stages are only the most notable uses of the technology.

A whole new world of possibilities has been created for frontline teams as AI is rather efficient at virtual assistance and chat (chatbots).

AI in HR

AI has significant potential to improve human resources. E.g., it can streamline the hiring process and onboarding by examining resumes and identifying the best matches and providing optimal training programs based on individual preferences.

To top it off, AI is also capable of autonomously scheduling interviews, responding to inquiries in real-time, and providing automated feedback.

Finally, AI can simplify taxes and payrolls, which are usually a headache to deal with.

AI in Facility Maintenance

Facility maintenance is a complex process (or, rather, a set of complex processes) that can use any help it can get.

Simplifying even portions of it can make a huge difference. The good news is that AI has been deployed in a specific format (known as the Internet of Things (IoT)) to address this particular aspect.

The IoT software compares current performance data with historical data, making sure that assets are functioning properly. It also reports the findings to facility personnel.

To be sure, IoT sensors are far from being perfect but, once again, things are developing rapidly. For the time being, they can provide assistance with a number of sensitive processes, including:

  •      Establishing baselines for asset performance indicators
  •     Determining upper and lower limits of asset performance
  •     Collecting utilization data
  •     Transmitting data to AI-empowered software

AI to Boost Data-Driven Decisions

Nowadays, business processes are all about big data. Data-driven decisions and similar platitudes have made their way to everyday business settings across the globe, so it’s no wonder that AI has been deployed to help with a thing or two in this complex regard.

Basically, to be able to make data-driven decisions, businesses must collect and process insane volumes of data, so obviously any initiative that can make this process shorter and more digestible is welcome.

AI can analyze insights far faster than people. Hence, it has been deployed in a number of ways, the most efficient ones of which include:

  •      Gaining insights from data
  •      Isolating trends
  •      Identifying changes in patterns
  •      Performing deep-scale analysis
  •      Predicting key business metrics
  •      Performing deep-content analysis
  •      Creating detailed reports
  •      Detecting changes in customers’ behavior
  •      Improving customer service

AI in and Digital Training Processes

AI can be deployed for machine learning and digital training processes. Notably, it can provide the best chunks of information based on learners’ preferences.

Personalized content is always the best option, although there’s much more to be done in this field yet.

Presently, AI may be utilized in multiple ways, with best practices suggesting the following points of interest:

  • Developing learning programs based on employees’ personal preferences
  • Automating related processes
  •  Providing automated feedback

Keep an Eye on Developments

AI is developing rapidly, with more and more uses being presented to worldwide audiences literally every couple of days. Alarming reports of people looking for shortcuts keep popping up, so it’s only to be expected that AI will be curbed and refined.

Nevertheless, businesses can already improve a number of processes with this prospective new tech, so consider the points discussed hereby and see if you can streamline troublesome processes.

A word of warning, though: deployment of AI absolutely must be coupled with appropriate training for your workforce as it has been shown that people are in fear of AI stealing their jobs. The issue should be approached carefully; explaining every aspect of how AI can complement workforce initiatives is a must.
