Australian 14-year-old gold medalist, Business Class specs

Arissa True, the 14-year-old Australian gold medalist at the Paris 2024 Olympics, has made headlines for declining business class on her return flight home.
“I could have sat in business class, but I wanted to come with my friends, Chloe and Ruby,” True told an Australian radio station on Friday, adding, ”I don't mind if someone else sits in my (business) seat.”
The Australian athletes who won gold at the Paris 2024 Olympics were offered business class on their return flight home.
There are no direct flights from Paris to Sydney, and it's a long flight - more than 20 hours - so the temptation of a comfortable business class seat was obvious.
The interviewer also laughed at True's innocence, saying, “I don't know how you can be so adorable.”
True won gold in skateboarding at the Games, becoming the youngest Australian athlete ever to win a gold medal.
The previous record was set by Sandra Morgan at 14 years and six months in swimming at the 1956 Melbourne Olympics, 안전놀이터 and the 2010-born True won gold at 14 years and three months.
“It's been a dream of mine since I was 11 years old to compete in the Olympics,” True said in an interview at Sydney Airport in Australia, adding, ”I hope there are kids who see me and start skateboarding like I did three years ago watching Tokyo.”
“I can't wait to go back to school,” he said, adding that ‘seeing my friends and teachers at school and skating again is the most fun thing in the world.’ He is looking forward to reuniting with his friends after his Olympic journey.
