Korea Automobile Racing Association Establishes KARA Esports Cup for Motorsports

The Korea Automobile Racing Association (KARA) is taking the lead in popularizing motorsports by creating a new esports (sim racing) competition.
According to KARA on Friday, it has established the 'KARA eSports Cup' for domestic eSports users and newcomers to motorsports.
Through this competition, KARA will provide opportunities to compete in international competitions, and will also organize introductory classes and various events to expand the participation of new players.
The KARA Esports Cup will begin with a 10-day online qualifier starting on September 15, followed by the main event on September 8 at PSR Seoul in Gangdong-gu, Seoul to determine the winner.
The competition will consist of three classes: iRacing, Assetto Corsa Competizione, and Gran Turismo.
The iRacing and Assetto Corsa Competitione classes are for experienced esports drivers and players aged 16 and over. The winner of each class will be eligible to represent Korea at the FIA Motorsport Games.
Gran Turismo is a class designed for amateurs and is open to anyone of any age.
The top nine qualifiers in each of the I-Racing and Aceto Corsa Competizione classes, and the top 18 qualifiers in Gran Turismo, will advance to the main event. A total of 36 drivers will compete in the main event on September 8 at PSR Seoul.
KARA signed a marketing agreement with Logitech Korea on Sept. 13 ahead of the tournament. 사설 토토사이트
