    Position Summary:
    The Continuous Improvement Manager is lead responsible for the CI Dept. assisting plant-wide performance improvement initiatives... cost, quality, productivity, material flow, value stream optimization.
    Grow company CI culture through targeted training & campus wide Kaizen, Small Group, & Kaizen Blitz programs.
    Develop Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma Green Belts/Black Belts.

    Responsibilities:

    Integrate company Production System principles including 5S/6F, Lean Manufacturing, Synchronous Flow, TVP-VAA. [similar to Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Toyota Production System (TPS)]
    Analyze business processes and value stream mapping for optimization.

    Execute strategic & shop floor initiatives in OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), productivity, labor efficiency, VAA (Value Add Analysis), material flow, quality, & business value stream.

    Execute IE time studies to optimize labor line balance & productivity.
    Conduct process capability studies & implement control systems for critical processes.
    Manage/grow campus wide programs for Kaizen, Small Group, & Kaizen Blitz.
    Champion 5-Why Root Cause Analysis & permanent corrective action all facets of the business operation.

    Develop & implement structured training programs (ex: Kaizen, Small Group, Lean Mfg 5S/6F, Theoretical Value Production/Value Add Analysis, PFMEA, 5-Star, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).

    Develop Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma Green & Black Belts.
    Champion PFMEA preventative action including poke-yoke [error proofing].
    Maintain master project lists.
    Compile summary progress reports for management review.
    Co-responsible for plant ISO compliance including internal auditing.

    Qualifications:

    Education / Experience:
    BS degree in applicable industrial business field (IE degree strongly preferred).
    Minimum five years applicable industrial manufacturing experience (ten years preferred) (Automotive or Tier 1 Automotive Supplier experience strongly preferred).
    Minimum five years IE, CI, Lean Mfg experience (Automotive or Tier 1 Automotive Supplier experience strongly preferred)
    Must have 3 years of management experience in continuous improvement.
    Demonstrated problem solving skills.
    Formal problem solving training.
    Demonstrated ability to manage sideways through peer functions to drive business results.
    Highly proficient MS-Office PC skills (prefer Visio, Access, AutoCAD)
