    What will you do as a Strategic Sourcing Specialist?


    Develop and implement strategic sourcing policies by building strong partnerships with the site Supply Chain Managers, Preproduction teams, and Suppliers.


    Create cost estimates and forecasts, negotiating cost-effective contracts with key suppliers while working with the Business Service Managers and Quality Managers to ensure validation support.

    Be responsible for all activities associated with strategic sourcing that translates into higher profit margins with high-cost improvement savings.

    Coordinate with internal stakeholders to define material, quality, and service requirements and standards.

    Support vendor partnerships and monitors performance using established KPI's, goals, and scorecards.

    Integrate new sources, methods, and vendors to ensure a reliable supply of materials.

    Review market intelligence and analysis to anticipate price fluctuations.

    Use ERP systems and other software tools to manage processes, create efficiencies, and control costs.

    What are we seeking in the ideal candidate?

    The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

    Bachelor's Degree or higher in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or Manufacturing related field.

    Master's Degree or higher in Business or Specialization in advanced Procurement Management will be advantageous.

    At least 7-10 years of experience in a similar role. Experience in a related medical/surgical device manufacturing company preferable.

    Demand and Supply Planning Experience will be advantageous.

    Should have experience in lean/continuous improvement leadership roles. Lean manufacturing, six sigma, and/or other quality-related certifications are a plus.

    Proficiency in using software such as Excel for data analysis, creating spreadsheets, and managing financial information.

    Word and PowerPoint for document creation and presentation.

    Familiarity with data analysis tools for interpreting and presenting data.


    Experience with procurement and sourcing software, such as e-procurement platforms or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, to streamline the procurement process.

    Knowledge of contract management tools to efficiently track, manage, and analyze supplier contracts.

    Understanding of supply chain management systems to monitor and optimize the flow of goods and services.

    Proficiency in using e-sourcing platforms that facilitate electronic procurement processes, including supplier discovery, negotiation, and contract management.

    Familiarity with CRM tools to manage relationships with suppliers and track communication history.

    Skills in project management tools like Microsoft Project or others to manage sourcing projects efficiently.
