The full continuum of River Edge Behavioral Health services provides state-of-the-art treatment and support services for more than 13,000 children, youth, families, and adults annually, who experience mental illness, addiction, co-occurring disorders or developmental disabilities.

    Fulton County - Boulevard, NE

    River Edge offers behavioral health outpatient services to adults in Fulton County experiencing mental health and substance use challenges. Therefore, we are seeking dedicated healthcare providers to join our team of professionals in the delivery of recovery-oriented services at our CHR location in Boulevard, NE Atlanta.

    Responsibilities:
    • Assess client health problems and needs.
    • Develops and implements nursing care plans and maintains medical records.
    • Administers nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled clients.
    • May advise clients on health maintenance and disease prevention or provide case management.
    • May supervise support or lower-level staff. Observes nurses and visit, clients, to insure proper nursing care is provided.
    • Monitors all aspects of client care.
    • Monitors, records, and reports symptoms and changes in clients' conditions.
    • Consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate client care plans.
    • Assures that unit is adequately staffed each shift.
    • Provides education to clients and families.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications Needed (education and/or experience):
    • Current Georgia license to practice as a registered professional nurse.
    • One plus year of professional nursing experience.
    • Ability to perform CPR/First Aid.
    • Strong safety orientation. Ensures the safety and security of clients and staff.
    • Knowledge of nursing policies, procedures, protocols, treatments, standards of care, and nurse practice act.
    • Knowledge of the procedures for medication administration and can administer oral, sublingual, and IV medications; knowledge of pharmacology.
