Job summary
We are seeking a Medical Assistant with strong administrative and patient communication skills to join our integrative primary care medical practice.This role is heavily focused on patient portal management and care coordination, with limited hands-on clinical duties.
The majority of the workday is spent in the EHR, patient portal, and on the phone.
Responsibilities
- Triage and respond to patient portal messages in a timely, professional manner
- Manage refill requests, lab questions, and follow-up communications
- Assist with prior authorizations
- Coordinate referrals and diagnostic orders
- Communicate with patients pharmacies labs outside officesSupport providers accurate documentation message routingDeliver excellent customer service patient experiencePerform light clinical tasks such as vitals medication reconciliation etcAssist sample inventory interact pharmaceutical reps vendors
