- Assist guests with check-in and check-out processes, including payment computation and collection.
- Verify and process financial transactions, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Perform nightly balancing and telephone services to ensure accurate postings to the property management system.
- Prepare express checkout folios and maintain room status inventory.
- Communicate shift information to the General Manager and other desk staff.
- Familiarize yourself with local area amenities, including restaurants, gas stations, banks, ATMs, post offices, shopping, etc.
- Address guest concerns promptly and seek management assistance when necessary.
- Demonstrate detailed knowledge of hotel amenities, including guest room systems (phone, internet, movies, long-distance phone calls, thermostat operation, etc.).
- Maintain the highest level of guest satisfaction possible through your actions.
- Sell the value of the hotel and strive to earn reservations and room sales via phone and personal contact.
- Balance revenue and expense transactions, track room revenue, occupancy percentages, and front office operating statistics.
