    Account Manager (Remote)

    Job Summary

    The Account Manager is responsible for increasing sales by developing and maintaining relationships with customers and clients within designated geographic regions. In addition, the Sales Representative is responsible for selling HomeGrid's products by identifying leads, educating prospects on products through calls, training and presentations, and providing existing customers with exceptional support.

    Primary Responsibilities & Duties

    • Travel to customer areas to represent the company
    • Make outbound calls to sell company products
    • Maintain a professional company image at all times
    • Develop new business leads
    • Follow up on leads and conduct research to identify potential prospects
    • Identify opportunities to improve sales performance
    • Recommend improvements for processes/performance to the sales team and sales director
    • Monitor market conditions in relation to competitors
    • Foster positive and effective relationships with our customers
    • Ensure all communication with new or existing customers is logged into CRM system
    • Prepare and analyze data to build a sales pipeline
    • Handle customers concerns effectively
    • Provide guidance on price competitiveness
    • Participate in trade shows, trainings, or associated product meetings when necessary
    • Other duties as required or assigned

    Qualifications & Competencies

    • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, communications or related field is preferred
    • General knowledge/experience in relation to electricity/renewables preferred
    • 3 years outside sales experience preferred
    • Results focused and deadline driven ensuring that tasks are prioritized, diarized, actioned, reviewed and follow-up in a timely manner
    • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written
    • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
    • Target selection - both opportunity and team revenue focused
    • Proactively seeks areas of improvement, allocates time and resources accordingly
    • Demonstrated negotiation and influencing skills ethically and with integrity
    • Flexible and adaptable; willing to assist the team with tasks outside normal scope of responsibility with the common goal of revenue growth for maximum benefit
    • Ability to work under pressure and achieve set deadlines
    • Strong proficiency in MS Office suite and CRM experience
    • Must have a valid driving license.
