    The Chief Marketing Officer's primary responsibility is to generate revenue by increasing sales through successful marketing for the entire organization, using market research, pricing, product marketing, marketing communications, advertising, public relations and building a stellar customer experience.

    This position is also responsible for providing overall coordination and executive direction to all SCAN corporate and health plan marketing strategies, efforts and programs, ensuring that the organization's product/service mix is appropriately responsive to changing market demands and is promoted with maximum market penetration and impact.

    Provides executive direction to all corporate and health plan brand and marketing strategies and efforts ensuring the organization's product/service mix is appropriately responsive to changing marketing demands and effectively capitalizes on prevailing and strategic opportunities.

    Provides overall consultation and executive direction to the organization's efforts to establish, promote and maintain the SCAN brand in connection with products and services for seniors.

    Leads the organization to become a top brand for both Medicare Advantage as well as the B2B brand as the non-profit alternative partner.

    Develops and maintains an in-depth set of policies, procedures, metrics and programs designed to ensure the effectiveness of the organization's marketing and branding initiatives.

    Ensures that all facets of the organization's marketing program, including educational and promotional campaigns, meet the company's quality standards, comply with applicable regulatory requirements, and are designed to support the overall sales and marketing goals for the company.

    Lead the digital marketing strategy and implementation in partnership with sales and IT to attract and retain members
    Provides consultation and functional expertise to colleagues and team-members regarding the development of new business ventures and programs.

    Collaborates to ensure the appropriate identification and evaluation of new business opportunities, as well as both the development and implementation of related marketing strategies, goals and initiatives.

    Provides overall direction to the organization's marketing function ensuring the department is effectively organized, staffed with capable and well-trained individuals, and that staff members receive the direction and support necessary to support the organization's marketing goals and initiatives.

    Develops and maintains the annual budget for the marketing function and related activities.

    Provides effective stewardship through the overall management of resources, the ongoing review of budget variances, and the implementation of responsive action.

    Provides consultative expertise and assistance to the Chief Executive Officer and the executive team in the development of the organization's strategic direction, plans and initiatives.

    Provides regular and/or special reports to the Board of Directors as requested and otherwise assists the Chief Executive Officer communicate and support the organization's marketing strategies, plans and initiatives.

    Supports the efforts of other members of the organization's executive team and performs other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time by the Chief Executive Officer.

    Master's degree in Marketing or related field.
    A comparable combination of education/experience and/or training will be considered equivalent to the education listed above.
    10-15+ years marketing director or executive level experience with a progressive, consumer-oriented business.

    Preference will be given to those with previous experience and expertise in aging, mature markets, and/or services for seniors.

    Previous senior HMO background also desirable, but not required.
    Strong marketing/advertising orientation with an in-depth understanding of marketing research, advertising, graphic design, and product development.
    Demonstrated expertise in brand development and programming.
