    In the heart of Waco, TX, sits the newly opened Hotel 1928, an inspired hospitality experience designed and developed by Chip and Joanna Gaines, and transformative hospitality company AJ Capital Partners. Located at 701 Washington Street, Hotel 1928 is the historic restoration and adaptive reuse of the former Grand Karem Shrine Temple Building. Named after the year the building was completed, Hotel 1928 offers 33 guest rooms, two food and beverage outlets, a café, over 6,600 square feet of event space, a rooftop terrace, and a retail shop featuring exclusive Magnolia-designed Hotel 1928 merchandise.     ABOUT THE ROLE

    The Runner plays a crucial role in the restaurant by ensuring the efficient and accurate delivery of food and beverages from the kitchen to the guests' tables. The Runner may also act as a Busser, clearing the tables once the guests are finished with their meal. This position is vital in creating a smooth and organized dining experience for customers. Runners are responsible for coordinating orders between the kitchen and serving staff, ensuring that dishes are presented correctly, and assisting with various tasks to maintain a well-organized restaurant. This role is a stepping stone for individuals looking to advance in the industry, providing valuable experience and opportunities for growths. Day and night shifts are available.


    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    • Coordinating Orders: Work closely with the kitchen staff to coordinate the timing of food preparation and ensure a table's dishes are ready to be served simultaneously
    • Food Presentation and Quality Control: Ensure that dishes are plated attractively and that they meet the restaurant's quality and presentation standards
    • Delivery to Tables: Deliver food and beverages to the appropriate tables, ensuring that each item is placed in front of the correct guest
    • Assisting Servers: Assist servers with various tasks, such as clearing empty plates, refilling water glasses, and providing additional utensils or condiments as needed
    • Communication: Communicate with both kitchen staff and servers to ensure that orders are accurate and that the dining experience runs smoothly
    • Timing: Monitor the timing of orders to ensure that dishes are served promptly and that hot dishes remain hot and cold dishes stay cold
    • Clearing Tables: After the meal, help clear tables, reset them for the next guests, and assist with general cleanliness and organization in the dining area
    • Guest Assistance: Assist guests with special requests, such as dietary accommodations or seating preferences

Your attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and servers contribute to a seamless dining experience for restaurant patrons.
