Assistant Rowing Coach - Girls Team

The school is seeking a Seasonal Assistant Crew Coach enthusiastic about rowing.

A good fit for this program is someone willing to share their knowledge, learn on the job, and show initiative for learning more to support the program's needs while bringing a good sense of humor and a great work ethic.

This is a part-time seasonal position. The daily work schedule may vary slightly throughout the season but will be focused on a 3-6 p.m. time slot, Monday-Friday, and Saturday mornings. This is a seasonal stipend position.

Essential Functions:

• Assist with the organization and execution of daily practice and race plans/preparations.
• Execute practice and race day responsibilities as assigned by the Head Woman's Coach.
• Teaches rules of rowing and boathouse protocol
• Maintains order in the boathouse and on the water, adhering to safety protocol.
• Assists with the organization and management of travel.
• Record and organize training-related data. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Current collegiate rowers may be considered.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and train student-athletes.
• Competitive rowing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of physical conditioning methods
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience working with high school students preferred.
• Excellent character, integrity, and adaptability
• The desire and ability to work in a cooperative, team-oriented atmosphere.
• Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience, and self-control
• Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screen

General:

• Demonstrates and enthusiastically supports the School's Mission

• Communicates well, works congenially, and deals effectively with all school personnel and families, as well as with the larger business and educational community.
