About the Role:

As a Procurement Intern, you will have the unique opportunity to apply business and supply chain principles to support and improve category management.

You will work independently and as part of a team on assigned tasks and projects with assistance and support from the team.

You can expect hands on experiences working on engaging projects to improve and standardize processes as well as generate value to the organization.

Locations Include :
Oak Brook, IL/Northern Illinois/Remote


Examples of project work:
Data analysis; can include market data and other inputs.
Supplier performance KPIs
RFP prep, execution, and evaluation
Cost savings initiatives


Experience an intern will gain:

• Project leadership
• Exposure to procuring raw materials, goods, and/or services for food manufacturing
• Working with cross functional team members to understand how each role impacts the supply chain
• Learning process for strategic sourcing
• SAP and other ERP solutions
• Reporting and analyzing skills

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of progress towards a Bachelor's degree (Junior or Senior) in Supply Chain Management or related field.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset
• Ability to develop strong relationships and influence others through partnership
• Self-directed and motivated
