- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries to general ledger accounts.
- Investigate cost and physical inventory variances and resolve issues.
- Review, investigate through analysis, and resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations in a timely basis.
- Interact and provide requested items by external auditors for quarterly review and annual audit of the consolidated financial statements.
- Ensures that all deadlines are met in accordance with the closing dates set by management.
- Performs other related duties as required.
- Degree from a four year college or university program with an emphasis in accounting, finance, or related field required
- Candidates with professional certifications (e.g. CPA, CMA) preferred
- Experience with a publicly traded company preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel
- Working knowledge of accounting systems and applications
- Experience with Microsoft Nav preferred
- Analytical problem solving ability
