    A reputable engineering firm is seeking a seasoned Senior Process Piping Engineer to join their team on a full-time or part-time basis for upcoming projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on exciting projects, utilizing cutting-edge technologies and methodologies. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing and implementing fuel gas piping and process systems, contributing to the success of diverse projects.     Key responsibilities for this role will include (but are not limited to):

    • Designing and laying out H2 (hydrogen) and natural gas piping systems, incorporating safety and detection features and venting solutions.
    • Developing designs for process piping systems, including considerations for hydraulics, heat, and material balances.
    • Conducting computer modeling and analysis of piping systems.
    • Designing utility systems such as compressors, heat exchange, and pumping systems.
    • Knowledge of metallurgy, H2 embrittlement, and hydrogen dehydration considerations relevant to storage locations.
    • Understanding of the electrolysis process.
    • Specification and procurement of equipment.
    • Providing technical support during start-up and commissioning of H2, fuel gas, and/or process piping systems.

    Required and desired skillsets, experience, and qualifications for this role:

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
    • 8-15 years of relevant experience.
    • Professional Engineering registration.
    • Experience in fuel gas (H2 and natural gas) and process piping design.
    • Proficiency in pipe flow and stress modeling.
    • US Citizenship or Permanent Resident status is required.
    • Ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create Excel trackers, and be able to use Word and Powerpoint for reporting/presentations via teams or in person.
