MacKay Sposito is seeking a Survey Technician to join our survey team in Roseville, California. This office-based position assists Professional Land Surveyors in the preparation of supporting data for land survey projects and focuses on producing accurate, high-quality drawings and deliverables using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
You will have an opportunity to work closely with our multi-disciplined team of Professional Land Surveyors, Engineers, and Land Use Planners on land development projects that shape communities and support our clients' vision.

Key Responsibilities:
- Apply survey information and reduce field notes to layout and draft designs and drawings for projects.
- Perform base mapping, overlay preparation, and work on storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water main, and street design projects, including review site plans, layouts and publication mockups.
- Review and conduct field check data for compliance with jurisdictional codes, to ensure survey standards are met.
- Work with close supervision to complete a variety of office or field work as assigned such as preparing data, charts, plots, maps, records and documents related to surveys.
- Provide support to other departments such as preparing computer generated maps and exhibits.
- Prepare and maintain accurate survey and engineering records in support of licensed staff.
- Develop knowledge of federal, state, and local rules, laws, and regulations regarding survey.
- Occasional field work, including out of town travel.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10+ years' experience in both field and office land surveying preferred.
- Proficiency with Civil 3D required.
- Experience with Trimble Business Center preferred.
- Must be a highly motivated individual with strong attention to detail.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as various market and business considerations.
The wage range for this position is $ $60.00 per hour. Depending on your placement in a Survey Tech 1, II, III, IV.

Employees are eligible to participate in our company 401k plan with up to a 4% match. Additionally, employees also receive paid vacation time, paid sick time, and 11 paid holidays. MacKay Sposito pays for expenses associated with licensure as well as annual profit sharing bonuses.
