Job Type Full-timeDescription$5,000 SIGN ON BONUS INCLUDEDThe Therapist (LCSW, LMFT, LMHC or LCAC) provides information, assessment, crisis intervention and other mental health services to assigned patients.
The therapist conducts and coordinates mental health counseling to include but is not limited to:
family, marriage, drug/alcohol referrals and social assessments. Job ResponsibilitiesCompletes diagnostic summaries and communicates assessment findings and recommendations to the treatment team. Determines if person needs crisis intervention or long-term care.
Counsels patients and families regarding emotional, social and financial consequences of illness and/or disabilityProvides mental health counseling to include crisis intervention and short-term counseling for patients and families.
Enters treatment, writes patient progress notes, updates, continuing care plans, necessary consents, referrals and follow-up activities in the patient's chartParticipates in continuing education programs for professional growth.
Develops professional referral relationships and resources to help patients in ways not available through the health center system itself.Position Schedule8am-5pm four days a week and 11:30am-8pm one day a week. Hybrid work environment. Required to work one day a week in the health center and then can work remotely.

We would love to engage with you for other possible opportunities or explore your areas of skill a little deeper) KnowledgeCurrently not sponsoring for work visa. Requires LCSW or equivalent license. Masters in specialty area; i.e. Psychiatric Nursing; Social Work; Counseling; Psychology or other related area. Four-Five years of therapy experience. Comprehensive clinical experience in mental health treatment preferred. Requires knowledge of child/adult protective services and legal issues such as Immediate Detention and Emergency Detention. Knowledge of state and federal laws relative to assigned area. Knowledge about human behavior and principles of growth and development over the life span. Knowledge about substance abuse and mental health issues as well as available resources in these specialty areas. Knowledge about community resources and entitlement programs. Electronic charting experience preferred.Skills/Abilities Bi-lingual skills a plus. Strong customer service skills. Excellent time management skills Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to be a team player, willing to work with all individuals involved in the treatment of the patient. Ability to relate to variety age; cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. Ability to maintain professional relationships with clients; co-workers and community partners. Passionate about patient care. Reliable transportation required. May need to travel.
