    Job Summary

    The Nursing Assistant serves as caregiver to residents during the scheduled work period in long-term care. Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Provides assistance with basic health care needs including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned residents.
    • Assists residents with meals and snacks, provides water and supplements as appropriate.
    • Documents resident interactions as needed and the outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary.

    Qualifications

    • High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
    • Minimum age of 16.
    • Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.

    Estimated Salary

    $22.50 - $28.00 per hour based on location and experience.
