    Opportunity:

    RN - CVICU

    Job Details:


    • Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

    • 4 total weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule

    • Holiday work based on unit coverage needs

    • Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2 with high number of 1:1 assignments

    • Float to other ICUs and telemetry units (4:1 ratio on tele) as needed

    • May be required to float to Westgate campus when requested

    • Travelers float first before permanent staff

    • Must have minimum 2 years ICU experience, CVICU preferred

    • Level I trauma experience required (waived for this position)

    • Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance (2 attempts allowed)

    • Complete pass/fail SIMs lab on day 1 for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes

    • Strong IV skills required as no IV team available

    • Must be comfortable with high acuity patients and bedside procedures

    • Experience with IABP and CABG patients preferred

    • Handle cardiac surgery recovery, lung transplant, ECMO, and various thoracic procedures

    • Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (CCRN preferred)

    • Must have natural hair color and no facial piercings

    • Men must be clean-shaven for fit testing

    • Navy scrubs required

    • Use Cerner EMR system and Phillips telemetry

    • 2-day floor-specific orientation provided

    • Must have own vehicle for travel

    • Michigan license required with willingness to wait for licensure

The facility features a 24-bed CTICU/CVICU unit with intensivist coverage during days and on-call support at night. The organization maintains 24/7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy services, with specialized programs including transplant services. The facility emphasizes high-quality patient care with modern equipment and comprehensive support services for complex cardiac and thoracic procedures.
