    Description

    Looking for dynamic part-time Registered Nurses (RNs) to join a bustling Ophthalmic Ambulatory Surgery Center in Itasca, IL.

    • Job Qualifications:
    • Must be highly driven and excel at handling multiple tasks efficiently in high-pressure situations.
    • ACLS/PALS/BLS certification required upon hire or within 90 days.
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience needed.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assess patient and family needs to deliver top-notch care.
    • Ensure correct identification of patients and proper surgical intervention, communicating effectively within the surgical team.
    • Prepare the operating room as per patient/procedure requirements.
    • Maintain strict patient confidentiality.
    • Check equipment functionality and report any issues to the Administrator.
    • Document nursing care accurately and keep records updated.
    • Make sure all pre-surgical tests are completed and consents are signed.
    • Provide assistance to the physician during procedures.
    • Stay updated with certifications and licensure, fostering professional growth.
    • Supervise non-licensed personnel in patient care.
    • Quickly identify and address potential problems based on patient needs.
    • Coordinate closely with the anesthesiologist and physician during surgeries.
    • Review daily OR schedule and collaborate with the team.
    • Delegate tasks effectively to ensure comprehensive patient care.
    • Review patient care documentation for accuracy and compliance.
    • Support the Administrator in maintaining regulatory and safety standards.
