- Analytical testing of raw materials, in process goods, and finished product
- Testing includes wet chemistry, HPLC, UV-Vis.
- Eventually will be required to troubleshoot instrumentation
- Documentation of all test results
- Reporting any quality issues to appropriate personnel
- BS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Biology preferred
- Wet Chemistry Skills
- Knowledge of general lab procedures
- Any instrumental experience is a plus

Summary:
The main function of a chemical technician is to conduct chemical and physical laboratory tests to assist scientists in making qualitative and quantitative analyses of solids, liquids, and gaseous materials. A typical chemical technician is either a research technician that works in an experimental lab or a process control technician who works in a manufacturing setting. The research technician works on research and development and collects samples or produces compounds. The process control technician focuses on quality assurance and production processes.
Job Responsibilities:
Execute a variety of standard laboratory tasks, including filtration, milling, solvent extractions, and solubility studies on press fabrics. Working with acids/bases. Maintain equipment in an operating condition and order supplies and service as needed. Log samples and record and maintain results consistently and accurately in a data management system (Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)). Collaborate effectively with teammates to complete interdependent tasks in a timely manner and take part in troubleshooting experimental challenges.
