:RESPONSIBLEFOR:
The Licensed Practical Nurseprovides nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurseor provider to patients form birth through the lifecycle utilizingthe nursing process in accordance with Piedmont Healthcares Missionand Vision Statements; functions within the framework of theirlicense and the policy and procedures of the organization anddemonstrates professional growth and accountability.
The Licensed Practical Nurse blends compassion, caring andtechnologically appropriate competency resulting in holistic careto thepatient.
Qualifications:
MINIMUMEDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of anLPN program
MINIMUM EXPERIENCEREQUIRED:
New graduates of anaccredited nursing school areeligible.
MINIMUMLICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Current License in the State ofGeorgia as a LPN or NLC/eNLC Multistate License. BLS certificationrequired
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrated clinical competency inthe specialty area applying forpreferred
Nursing Experience in Hospital SettingPreferred
If working in the EmergencyDepartment, ALS/ACLS and PALS required
(LPNs newto specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6months of start date) Experienced Emergency Department nurses willhave 6 months to obtain the PALS certification.
