    Skagit Farmers Supply, a financially strong and growing local cooperative since 1934 based in beautiful Burlington, WA serves farmers, homeowners, businesses, families and communities in Skagit, Island, Whatcom, San Juan and Snohomish Counties in northwest Washington State.

    Skagit Farmers Supply operates several retail stores and agronomy plants and is a market leader in propane distribution. Our market extends from Seattle to the Canadian Border and between the Puget Sound and the North Cascades Mountains. This geography offers a long growing season with diverse crops as well as countless opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts.
    The company is seeking an experienced Credit Manager with outstanding communication skills and a customer-focused approach to their work. This position is responsible for all aspects of accounts receivables and requires excellent relationship and customer service skills.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Maintain processes and procedures to analyze accounts and establish appropriate credit limits and approval/denial guidelines
    • Review and conduct in-depth analysis of credit applications and financial statements for large commercial accounts
    • Communicate effectively to customers regarding new account applications and credit decisions
    • Manage the performance of the Accounts Receivable department and maintaining credit policy and operations, analyzing delinquent accounts via differential analysis, and determining plan to collect outstanding receivables
    • Effective customer communication regarding accounts receivable status, including the investigation and resolution of billing disputes
    • Manage past due and high-risk accounts and implement collection efforts based on management strategy
    • Maintain customer database and develop necessary reports for decision making
    • Develop, train and monitor performance of credit staff
    • Implement new techniques, ideas and solutions for a variety of credit challenges
    • Build and maintain cross-functional relationships throughout the company to ensure credit management needs are being met
    • Build and maintain a network of contacts and resources to assist in effective credit management

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor's degree in business, finance or accounting. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
    • 5+ years of credit management or commercial lending experience
    • Prior positive experience supervising, leading, coaching and developing direct reports
    • Strong credit and analytical skills
    • Outstanding communication and presentation skills with the ability to develop customer relationships, negotiate, and effectively relay information and resolve disputes
    • Thorough knowledge of federal and Washington state credit laws
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
    • Possess a reliable personal vehicle,valid driver's license andmaintain a safe driving record. Travelisoccasionally required.
    • Exhibit an ability toform and cultivate positiveprofessionalrelationships.
    • Practice punctual and reliable attendance.
    • Perform otherduties as assigned.
    HOURS/DAYS / SCHEDULE
    This is a fulltime,salaried position,typically Monday-Friday.45+ hours/week.

    COMPENSATION
    $90,000-$110,000annually.
