Goal(s) of this Position
Manage and maintain ICT test equipment
Support operations with PCBA testing.
Support sales and operations with component engineering
Work within the parameters of the QM System to help Variosystems achieve general and company-specific quality efforts and growth goals
Tasks and Responsibilities
Manage In Circuit Test (SPEA & Teradyne) equipment
Maintain Test Fixtures and Programs as needed
Implement (debug & validate) new Test Fixtures and Programs
Maintain machines including first level troubleshooting and repair
Ensure support contracts are maintained and calibrations are conducted.
Provide component-engineering support to Sales and Production as needed.
Recommend alternate components for obsolete or long lead time components
Help resolve component related production issues
Document and maintain customer provided test equipment
Ensure that customer provide equipment is properly documented
Write Test Instructions per Variosystems standard based on information provided by customer
Maintain test equipment (e.g. incorporate ECOs, repair as needed)
Support test department
Maintain test equipment as needed.
Assist set up test fixtures as needed
Provide training of production test personnel as needed
Support new production projects
Recommend test plan for new products to Sales Department
Quote test generation based on test plan to Sales Department
Creation of PCBA ICT or Functional tests according to test plan
Document tests (including Test Instructions)
Other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Bachelor's degree in electronic engineering or equivalent experience
Ability to read, interpret and understand schematic drawings, assembly drawings, Bills of Materials, Work Instructions, & Test Procedures.
Ability to interpret component manufacturer's data sheets in regards to package design, part and lot numbers, correct orientation, or other technical data as required
Familiarity with IPC-610 accept/reject criteria regarding printed circuit board assemblies
Ability to work well as a team member in a production facility
Communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Must be able to sit for long periods of time
Will be required to lift over 40 lbs on a daily basis
