    Nursing Clinical Specialist (RN) Regulatory

    MedStar Health seeks a skilled healthcare provider to improve patient care through regulatory compliance and quality assurance.

    Position Overview

    The Clinical Specialist serves as a clinical expert, educator, collaborator, consultant, leader, and researcher for a specific patient population or specialty area.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Serves as a collaborative source of clinical expertise and professional advice.
    • Develops, maintains, and applies nursing standards, standard order sets, patient care protocols, and policies and procedures.
    • Provides expertise and support for health care surveys and regulatory reviews.
    • Participates in risk management, evidence-based practice, and performance improvement activities.
    • Leverages multidisciplinary projects to improve hospital performance in areas including infection prevention, safety, compliance, regulatory, and nursing practice.
    • Counsels teams on effective transition of responsibilities to operational leaders.
