    We're searching for a Chassis Dyno Test Technician to help with testing and validating our Battery and Fuel Cell Electric Semi-Trucks.

    You'll work closely with various test programs using a chassis dynamometer and assist at other test sites as needed.

    You will be involved in all aspects of truck level testing on the dynamometer including but not limited to test setup, procedure implementation and data reporting.


    Our test site requires a range of mechanical skills, including assembling, disassembling, overhauling, installing, and tearing down prototype or production components for testing.

    Responsibilities


    • Making sure testing milestones are met on time, including installing facilities and equipment.
    • Follow instructions and guidance on complex or unique problems as laid out by engineering teams.
    • Implement the hardware requirement for test setups.
    • Tracking and helping prepare reports on testing activities, including results, and identified defects.
    • Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure the high-level architecture proposals work within acceptable parameters.
    • Collaborate with the design, integration, and validation teams to implement tests which will validate the functions, interfaces, and interactions of the system. Identify areas of concern, and work with teams to rectify any bugs.
    • Work with other technicians and the Technician supervisor to perform preventative and scheduled maintenance on all test hardware as needed.
    • Be involved in finding root cause in the event of failure of test equipment or vehicle.
    Qualifications


    • College or Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering, or relevant related certifications, or similar.
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in shop and automotive environments, preferably working with dynamometers and similar complex electro-mechanical systems.
    • Experience with AVL and Vector software extremely valued.
    • Experience driving semi-trucks will be preferred.
    • Preferred strong foundation of electrified powertrain concepts (motor, inverter, gearbox, and battery systems)
    • The ability to work effectively in a cross functional group setting, including essential technical assistance to support the engineering team.
    • The ability to work independently when offered the autonomy to do so.
    • Must have the ability to deliver succinct written and verbal communication and make timely decisions.
    • Hands-on technical experience debugging complex mechanical systems.
    • Experience safely working with high voltage.
    • Creative capacity for developing new ways to integrate complex system better and faster in alignment with the aggressive industry approach to revolutionary product development.
    • Must be highly motivated and able to manage multiple assignments concurrently with limited supervision, including for day-to-day operations.
    Candidates must have current U.S. work authorization or be TN eligible from Mexico or Canada. This position is not eligible for CPT or OPT.
