Position: Dental Assisting Adjunct Instructor
Location: Athens Campus
Department: Division of Life Sciences & Public Safety
Reports to: Program Chair for Dental Programs & Divisional Academic Dean
Salary/Benefits: Salary is commensurate with education and experience. No State of Georgia benefits.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain familiarity with college goals, mission, and long-term plans.
- Contribute to planning and development processes.
- Participate in recruitment and retention of students in both programs.
- Attend required staff meetings and serve on staff committees.
- Evaluate dental assisting curriculum and educational activities.
- Employ a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media.
- Regularly evaluate student achievement and provide student feedback.
- Assist clinical coordinator with clinic supply; tracking and stocking.
- Supervise and instruct dental assisting students during clinic.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Allied Health Education.
- Certified Dental Assistant through DANB.
- Expanded Duties Dental Assistant certified through the State of Georgia.
- One (1) – three years of experience as a CDA.
- BLS Certified.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous instructor experience.
- Familiar with UpScale Assessment.
- Familiar with Dentrix.
