Job description

Major League Baseball is looking for a Coordinator to review officially licensed submissions and enforce brand guidelines for all proposed use of retail product that utilizes MLB Intellectual Property.

Responsibilities

  • Electronic review of submissions of products, publications, advertisements, promotional materials and other items featuring marks of MLB-related entities to determine whether trademark use and products comply with established MLB Quality Control (QC) licensing guidelines.
  • Communicate with other MLB internal departments and MLB licensees regarding design issues and use of MLB marks.
  • Assist with maintaining and updating QC departmental reference materials and records.
  • Additional work/projects in conjunction with Legal as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree and preferred one to two years of relevant experience in one or more of the following: QC department focused on Licensing/Intellectual Property (IP), Proofreading/Editorial/Design department, Legal department and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Very high attention to detail, strong ability to spot errors (spelling/grammar/graphical, etc.), able to multitask and learn/enforce highly-specific QC/IP guidelines.
  • Customer service experience and professional communication skills.
  • Team player and motivated self-starter.
  • Comfortable with working independently and managing deadlines.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with web-based applications and MS Office.
  • Knowledge of baseball is preferable.

Salary Range: $56,000 - $65,000 (Base Salary) + Bonus

As a candidate for this position, your salary and related aspects of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, skills, and any other factors MLB considers relevant to the hiring decision.
