Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital, a part of the New Jersey Department of Health, Division Behavioral Health Services, has an opportunity for an Associate Hospital Administrator 1 (AHA) for the Nursing Department.

Under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer, the Administrator has executive level responsibility to oversee and direct the delivery of services by direct care staff at the hospital to include the nursing department. Will also work with senior executives to forecast plans and implement long range stragegies for the hospital as well as provide reports, presentations, operational leadership and representation to the Chief Executive Office and Executive Management Committee.

Additional responsibilities include confirming that all work units are in compliance with Joint Commission, all accrediting surveys and government agencies; ensuring patient care is performed in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces likelihood of medical/healthcare errors; developing staffing plans and management of direct care work hours.

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's in Hospital Administration, Public Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, Mental Health Administration, Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, Rehabilitation or related field.

NOTE: Masters degree in Nursing Education preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years of administrative experience managing a significant service of program in a psychiatric or general hospital, large mental health facility or social services agency dealing with the mentally ill.

NOTE: Applicants who do not possess a Master's degree may substitute one (1) year of additional experience as indicated above.

LICENSE: Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey

only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.
