    MACHINE OPERATOR (Selma, CA)

    Location: 7736 E. Springfield Ave., Selma, CA 93662
    Hours: 7:00AM to 3:30PM
    Position: Hourly
    Opened Until Filled

    Job Summary

    Responsible for setting up and operating various machine tools to work on metallic and nonmetallic pieces while supporting the production team.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Reads and analyzes blueprints, work orders, and plans for product specifications
    • Chooses, places, and secures tools in the holder
    • Adjusts feeds, speeds, and depth of cuts
    • Controls valves to direct coolant or cutting oil flow against tools/work pieces
    • Monitors proper machine functioning
    • Carries out daily machine maintenance
    • Records actions by filling out production and quality logs
    • Conducts regular inspections of finished pieces
    • Maintains safety through compliance with procedures and regulations

    **Qualifications and Skills**

    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • 1-year relevant experience
    • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
    • Effective verbal communication
    • Strong attention to detail

    **Physical Requirements**

    • Standing – frequent to continuous
    • Walking – occasional to frequent
    • Bending/stooping – occasional
    • Squatting/kneeling – occasional
    • Gripping/manipulation – frequent
    • Lift and carry up to 25 lbs. occasionally from the floor to waist

    **Working Conditions**

    During work, the employee is exposed to moderate noise levels. The role involves operating near moving mechanical parts using standard heavy equipment and tools.
