    Responsibilities

    • Serve meals and assist residents with eating, promoting nutritional intake and overall well-being.
    • Employ active listening skills and provide clear verbal explanations before delivering care, ensuring each resident's needs are met.
    • Promptly report any changes in a resident's health, cognition, or behavior to the person in charge.
    • Use mechanical lifts for transfers as directed by the care plan or instructed by the person in charge.
    • Adhere to facility safety, infection prevention, and control procedures, following the care plan guidelines.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

    Qualifications

    • No prior experience in direct care is required, but it is an asset.
    • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
    • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English is essential for effective communication with residents, families, and staff.
    • You must be able to follow directions, work collaboratively in a team, and provide excellent customer service to residents.
    • Criminal background check consent and passing are mandatory requirements.
