Reports changes in patient's condition to a RN Includes assisting personnel in obtaining supplies instruments equipment for surgical/procedural cases Duties can include obtainment recording of patient weight temperature pulse respirations BP intakes/outputs abdominal girths as directed by nursing staff Provides respiratory support by properly setting up equipment needed for oxygen administration including changing tank regulators checking tank volumes Follows all departmental policies procedures including reporting equipment/room repairs timely manner Performs tagging equipment putting Biomed ticket repair Assists routine unit operations directed needed ensure smooth communication functioning unit Relays accurate telephone visitor patient healthcare provider messages appropriate persons timely manner Transports linens trash biohazardous case carts/materials established policies wearing PPE ensuring correct signage place transport May monitor sterile field set-up when directed registered nurse Cleans autoclaves Sterile Processing Operating Room/Procedural Areas Cleans organizes Sterile Processing areas assigned Processes instruments between cases wash sterilize heat cold sterilization need arises Maintains orderliness cleanliness various equipment supplies designated areas Monitors halls keeping free extra equipment allowing easy transportation Performs terminal isolation cleaning necessary including weekly cleaning mobile fluid-waste equipment daily weekly cleaning scrub sinks housekeeping carts warmer cleaning logged documentation Autoclaves assigned
